Several of you have asked when the workbooks will be available.  We are in the process of redeveloping them for CreateSpace so they can be shipped directly to you.  Most of the workbooks will be available this next week for order.

Over the last three months, we’ve been reworking the Leadership Manual to better communicate the “what”, and “how” of Thrive.  It’s been a thrilling experience to say the least and represents the culmination of so much research and learning over the last seven years. Much of the changes will cover the ethos of Thrive and what really makes the Thrive experience work.

If you have requested a leadership manual in the past, don’t sweat it.  We’ll send you the updated one as soon as it’s finished.  If you have requested a manual in the last couple of days, we’ll send you the new one as soon as it’s finished.  It should be out this month.

I just wanted to let everyone know we’re pretty close to announcing our Boot Camp dates for this year. It’s tentatively titled, “Creating Redemptive Community.” We’ll send an announcement out shortly and to everyone who has expressed interest. The Boot Camp is a two day experience on participating and leading a Thrive group. It is for both leaders and participants, and for those interested in what we are doing. You don’t have to be in a group to participate either.

Change?  Who wants change?  Well, the simple answer is, “We do.”

I want to personally welcome you to the new Thrive website.  We’re making it easier to find information, communicate what the journey looks like, and give you the resources you need to participate with us.

It seems kind of appropriate that this change is coming at the doorsteps of autumn, the season of change.  Change is good when it produces something of value.  So what is in store for the coming year.  Well, a lot.  We’re adding a blog, more audio capabilities, a webstore to purchase workbooks, and we’re preparing for our first leadership boot camp.

The first real change is adding a blog.  It is our desire to begin sharing the personal stories that come from following in the footsteps of Jesus.  We want to add leadership questions, excerpts from the workbooks, insights we’ve discovered and so much more.  It will be an authentic look from inside.  You’ll begin hearing from several leaders and participants who have taken the risk to engage God’s mission of restoration and reconciliation.

We’ve also added an audio functionality that makes it easier to listen to our audio presentation.  Now you can listen right on line in our media section.  We also hope to add some video presentations that are in the works.

Coming very soon, we’re adding our entire catalog of workbooks online to make purchasing easier.  You’ll be able to read excerpts and order directly from the site.

And coming in ’09 we’re launching our first leadership boot camp.  This two day experience will provide you with an in depth look at our unique process for engaging God’s mission in an intentional community.  Dates are still to be determined but we encourage you to get on our interest list.  Just send us an email.
